Longview Urology has announced that Danette Traver and LaTasha Selvog have taken on new job responsibilities.

Danette, who previously handled front office operations, is now the clinic coordinator. She has worked in the healthcare field for 11 years.

Her new responsibilities include credentialing for the office; developing and overseeing written procedures for all front office operations; providing employee training; working with the company’s leadership team; and serving as a liaison to staff in gathering operational ideas and suggestions for improvement.

She is also charged with setting and maintaining the professional tone for front-line staff; coordinating staff coverage for sick leave and vacation requests from non-clinical personnel; maintaining proper non-clinical supply inventory and budget accountability for office supplies; and coordinating with outside vendors.

Danette enjoys horseback riding, reading, baseball and spending time with family. She is married and has two children.

LaTasha has worked as a medical assistant for nearly 14 years and will now take on additional duties as LU’s clinical coordinator.

Her responsibilities include advising physicians and administration on issues relating to efficiency, morale, operations and equipment; serving as the main point-of-contact for back office medical staff; reviewing and revising policies; reviewing and developing job responsibilities as EMR (electronic medical record) forces operational systems modifications.

“I enjoy assisting the providers and patients,” LaTasha said. “I like playing an important role in providing quality care and making a positive difference in each patient’s experience at our clinic.”

Her activities include reading, gardening and decorating. She is married and has three sons.

Longview Urology Administrator Barb Patterson said the healthcare field demands vision and leadership. “We expect incredible changes in 2011, with a new electronic medical records system, a new physician, and increased community involvement,” she said. “Danette and LaTasha are great additions to our leadership team.”
